Smith - Johnson Family - { custom session }

Get ready for lots of pictures as this family just knows how to be in front of the camera! I met Tammy at one of this years Moms+Camera classes and thru our FB group, have watched her baby's first birthday and almost feel like I've known her forever (thanks FB!), so I was honored to be asked to photograph her family pics! Not to mention, I love when families take family pictures with the whole family, seeing three generations here, just warms my heart. These moments are so important to capture, and we got some good ones. Just look how little Liam shows his Grandaddy and Mimi some love!

He is about the cutest thing you have ever seen.......you just want to squeeze those cute, squishy cheeks! And hello, look at this gorgeous family!!!! Love it!

Another favorite right there.......something about it, I just love! And of course, I need to post one more of little Liam, just too cute!

These were done just for fun, and I think they are great! I love when clients can be themselves and be silly and fun, and Tammy and Jon were no exception! And Tammy, only you could make all those crazy faces look pretty! :-)

ON SALE: moms+camera class

If you have been waiting to take our MOMS + CAMERA CLASS I, now is the time to do it! We are featured on Living Social this week and our class is 50% off!!!! Here are a few answers to our most frequently asked questions regarding the voucher/class:

- Location of the Class? in Raleigh, just off of Lake Boone Trail, for location click here.

- Days offered? Saturday and Sunday afternoons, Monday evenings, for exact dates click here.

- Are dads allowed to attend? absolutely! we usually have at least one dad at every class!

- Is this voucher good for Class II - Posing Class or CLass III - Editing Class? No, at this time the Living Social deal is ONLY good for Moms+Camera Class I - The Basics

- Do I need the latest and greatest fancy camera? No, any DSLR camera will work fine (that is a camera where the lens is removable). In fact you can take the class with a point and shoot camera, but you will get the most out of the class with a dSLR.

- Will I be able to open my own business after taking this class? I doubt it, this class is geared to moms who want to use their camera better and who want to learn to shoot in manual and make the most of their everyday surroundings to capture the moment! We do not teach how to start a business, how to handle clients or plan sessions, however we have had some moms who have attended the class get so hooked that they are currently pursuing photography as a career.

 - Where do I go to purchase this amazingly awesome deal? To purchase the Living Social deal, please click here.

- I bought the voucher, now what do I do? Go to the Moms+Camera Classes tab at the top of this blogsite and click on Class I, there you will see all details and a link to registering online.

the girlies

Nothing like 4 year old cousins who love the camera, natural window light and a reflector to get some classic images of these two cuties! Scroll down to see the pullback shot!

See, the chair goes next to the window, and the reflecto rgoes right beside your subject "reflecting" the light onto the side of the face that is not closest to the window! Voila! Soft pretty diffused light! Tha gives you not only even skin tones but some catchlights in those eyes!
